Sea, nature, food and history... Called Kallistè the most beautiful by the Greeks, Corsica is all of this and more... For an exotic holiday in the Mediterranean Sea's very own island paradise.

For the more adventurous or cash-strapped vacationer camping in Corsica is a fantastic option. Immersed in the nature it is perhaps the best way to experience the true beauty of the island as well as escape the noisy city.

Almost every resort offers accommodation to campers with tents or camper vans. The cheapest campgrounds are small, family-run ones known as camping à la ferme and will cost around €14-18 a night per couple. Although cheap these grounds often have all the comforts a camper will need, as well as activities for adults and children.

Along the coast prices at campgrounds are slightly higher, around the price of a typical one star hotel. Unlike your basic campground, these locations also provide bar services, restaurants, tennis courts and swimming pools. Very popular with locals as well as tourists, it is best to book ahead especially during the high season.

NB: it is illegal to camp in locations across Corsica without permission. These include camping on the beach and in other secluded locations such as the Agriates Desert.
